I just have one word for this film - phenomenal! Oh lord what do I say, this film was absolutely THERE! Beyond Bollywood, Hollywood, everyone. This film has hit a mark that just proves to be the starting point of Pakistan’s THAT film era. Speechless; this film has definitely made a name for itself.
Acting - powerful. Fawad was brilliant as always, Hamza really surprised me as I am not too big a fan of him but damn, his humour, his costumes, his character, everything was so power packed. Gohar Rasheed - one of the best performances of recent times, he is so ruthless at times you want to jump inside the screen and give him a beating! But at the same time, his humour makes you pity him. He was amazing as always; perhaps his Punjabi could do with some improvement lol but otherwise he was a pleasure to watch. Humaima - oh you beauty! But let me warn you; she is SO much more than just a pretty face. Her teases, her dialogues, it was all top-notch! She was surely a surprise package in this film! One of my favourite performances too. Mahira - unfortunately, I was slightly disappointed with her character, I wish there was more depth to her. Her screen time was limited, and she didn’t really add to the film. Her chemistry with Fawad was lovely though, as usual! Last but not the least; Faris Shafi - funny, delightful, tragic ending to his character though. But loved him, he’s so underrated!
Dialogues - clever, funny, entertaining! Really well-written.
Script - amazing! Despite the fact that there has already been a film like this made years ago, the script was excellent, as none of the scenes were predictable. Everything came by as a surprise.
Songs - hardly any. Actually I don’t think there was even one! However, the noise of blood pouring, horses thumping and swords beating around makes up for it all!
All in all, a well-made film. Proudly can say that this is a pakistani film. Hats off to Bilal Lashari and the entire crew for piecing together a lovely watch.
